Over the past 20 plus years Orna Feinstein, has explored her interests in the interior geometry of the organic, the concentric patterns of tree rings, the linear patterns of wood grain, and the cellular structure of a plant using a wide variety of materials and methods but most notably mono-printmaking.
Feinstein's works were included in many prestigious exhibitions at IPCNY, The Madi Museum in Dallas, and other art centers and museums. Most recently she won second place at the 2020 ALH juried exhibition awarded by Cara Maes, associate curator at MOMA New York. Feinstein’s retrospective exhibition Now and Zen – Fifteen years of Contemporary Printmaking has travelled to various major museums such as the Museum of the Southwest, Midland, Texas; Galveston Arts Center, Galveston, Texas; Museum of Geometric and Madi Art of Dallas, Texas; Art Museum of Southeast Texas, Beaumont, Texas. Her work can be found in numerous national and international private and public collections including: National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Taiwan; Museum of Fine Arts Houston, Texas; Douro Museum, Portugal; Fidelity Investments, Houston, Texas; Skopelos Foundation for the Arts, Skopelos, Greece; Pablo Atchugarry Foundation, Uruguay; and the University of the West England, Bristol, United Kingdom. In 2019 her work was published in a 150-page hardback monograph featuring an essay by Dena M. Woodall, Curator of Prints and Drawings at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Texas.
This month, the Museum of Fine Arts Houston acquired seven additional works for their collection.
